The Association of Science Technology and Innovation (ASTI) is an association of educators, scientists, industry representatives and individuals who are committed to advancing the role of the scientific community in inspiring the youth of the nation to join and excel in the world of science. 

AFC requires a team of two people or more where you can work on the challenge from anywhere even from your home! In AFC, you have to create something simple invention (invent a product/new method/new experiment) that you use to teach a scientific principle you have learnt at school. For example, your invention can be created with any object that you ¬ find at home; e.g. you can design and build a catapult made of clips and rubber bands to teach the 3rd Law of Newton. 

Jabatan STEM telah menghantar sebanyak 9 kumpulan untuk menyertai pertandingan ini. Semua pelajar yang mengambil bahagian ialah pelejar-pelajar opsyen Sains. 

Daripada 9 kumpulan 5 kumpulan pelajar berjaya mengondol kesemua lima hadiah utama yang dipertandingkan dalam kategori 3. Ini merupakan suatu kejayaaan yang amat membanggakan bagi pelajar dan pensyarah JSTEM, mahupun IPGKSAH.
